Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a Nursing Care Clinician, is responsible for patient care tasks and a variety of advanced paraprofessional and technical functions/skills including (but not limited to) phlebotomy, EKG, vitals signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing, which contribute to the health, safety and comfort needs of patients. Performs various environmental duties for the unit and performs all duties of a Nursing Attendant. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility. High School diploma or Equivalency Certificate. Minimum of two years current Nursing Attendant experience in an acute care hospital setting required. Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant. Recent training and/or experience in EKG and phlebotomy, Must be capable of treating pediatric, adult or geriatric patients. This includes, but is not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting and transferring patients. Must be capable of performing tasks that require dexterity, muscular strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination as part of their normal assignments.

I would love to have a job like this. I really want to travel, and I have been trying to figure out what to do with my community health degree. How much more schooling would I have to go through to become a travel nurse? Now would be the time to do it for me while I'm still single.
